passenger seat warmer not turning on or defective? Have a 2017 Bmw x5 F15 35k miles, And from what the boss wife was telling me that the passenger side seat heater or the warmer is not working, when you press 1,2,3 those led's light up but by pressing none comes up and the seat will not warm up. The driver and rear seat works fine. The e90 doesn't use a resistor pack it uses a PWM signal that drives the fan speed. Anyway long story short I could not find a problem so I plugged it back and and all was working. With further investigation I realized it was the wire harness that connects to the motor driver. I believe this ensures the heater valve stays open. 2) loosen bleeder screw. 3) slowly pour coolant into expansion tank until coolant seeps out of bleeder screw. you should see air bubbles come out as well.
