A professional, large aperture zoom lens must produce stunning images and the XF16-55mm uses nine-blade diaphragm to help minimize spherical aberrations. The lens is made of 17 elements in 12 groups, which includes three aspherical elements to reduce any distortion and spherical abberations. In order to maintain edge to edge sharpness across
Next we’ll compare Fuji’s 16-55mm f/2.8 to its full frame equivalents, the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8, the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L, and the Canon 24-70mm f/4 L. Even though the 16-55mm f/2.8 is one of Fuji’s heftier lenses, it’s still significantly lighter than the f/2.8 zooms from either Nikon or Canon. Remarkably, it’s actually heavier when
Yeah before preordering the X-H1, I considered this. But then aside from the A7III body, I then considered the lenses I have over the last few years as a fuji user ---XF 10-24 f4 XF 16-55 f2.8 XF 23 f1.4 XF 35 f1.4 XF 56 f1.2 XF 50-140 f2.8--- and the thousands additional on top of the A7III I'd have to pay to replace them with FE equivalents.
The 8-16 is fantastic for night photography if you plan to do a lot of ultra-wide nightscapes with the Fujifilm system. At f/2.8 there is very little coma in the corners, but there is a fair amount of distortion which accentuates the star trails that are not apparent in the center of the frame. Fujifilm 8-16mm f/2.8 20 sec, ISO 6400.
The Fujifilm 16-55mm F2.8 is a versatile lens that allows you to shoot landscapes and portraiture. With weather sealing, high quality optics and a fast max a
Fuji 16/1.4 has 81.3 degrees FoV for JPEG files and 81.9 degrees for RAW files. The difference between JPEG and RAW is a minor 0.6-degree in-camera correction. Judging by corrected JPEG (81.3 degrees) Fuji 16/1.4 is 1.7 degrees wider than 17mm (79.7 degrees) and 1.8 degrees narrower than 16mm (83.1 degrees). So 16/1.4 is actually around 16.5/1.4.
Guess which one wins? I'm surprised by the result, but that's not the important point. Thanks to KEH for sponsoring this video!Black Friday / Cyber Monday at
35mm f1.4 and 23/35/50mm f2. I do not use stock hoods of Fujifilm lenses because of extra bulk and design I don't like. I have found alternative hoods for all other lenses I have but two: 14mm f2.8. 16-55mm f2.8. Main criteria is to make a lens with hood attached smaller and take less space in the bag (with hood attached).
